Last evening, I realized that I had not sent the BF’s parent’s a thank you card for hosting us at their home in Delaware. That was a few weeks ago. Sighs… seriously Opal? I love sending and receiving handwritten cards/notes/letters.
I sifted through the handmade cards/envelopes that I had made and decided that none of them were “right” for his parents and so I pulled out my card stock and made them a card and an accompanying envelope. I even used my Cuttlebug and some of my embossing folders on the actual card and the envelope. I did not stop there, I made four more cards also.
After their card was completed, I wrote a nice note. It basically said what I’d written in my follow up email. So yeah…I guess I really did not have to write a handwritten note, but I did and my daughter signed the card also. I wish I could say that I took a picture of their card; however, I did not and I mailed it bright and early this morning. You know something? I do believe, I’ll recreate the card and post a picture of it here. That way you’ll see what they will receive. In addition to that card, I mailed the BF a cute little card. I’d made it last evening too.
That’s so sweet and thoughtful of you – to send a thank you card. Can’t say I know of any/many who would do that.

@suituapui, It’s something my mother (and father) always taught me to do and I’m passing courteous act on to my daughter through my actions. In the past, I have slacked off on doing that; however, that has changed. I make an effort to take a few moments of my time to sit down and write a note. It makes me feel great doing it and I hope that positive feeling passes on to whomever receives my token of appreciation.

@Jennifer, I’m thrilled to say that I am finally caught up with the note sending and now I need to make more cards. This past week, I mailed three cards to the BF and as I mentioned above, I sent his parents a card. I just mailed him another one today and I made one for my daughter also. It looks like a rainy day and so I’m hoping I have a chance to make more cards today.
I really need to set a huge chunk of time just to make cards so I can ease up on the card making. I would have been fine with cards if I hadn’t thought it would be nice to send each other cards; however, I am not complaining. Card making, just like knitting, is a portable activity that I can carry all over the house.
