Taking it Easy: Listening to my Body

In the past few weeks, I haven’t done too much. I’ve been taking a break and listening to my body. My body is telling me to get some rest! I’m listening. I must admit that this has been a bit challenging for me to do since I’m used to just staying busy. However, at times, our bodies need to rest to heal. It’s important to listen. I am!

I still haven’t set up that lightbox. No rush; in time, I will.

Photography: Using my Lightbox

Almost a month ago, I purchased a lightbox for the photos that I’ve been taking. It’s something that has been on my list for a few years, and several years ago, I even made my lightbox with some great results; however, it is just one of those things that slipped through the cracks, and I got out of the habit of using the lightbox that I’d created. Well, it’s on my list of things to put together today and start actively using on my websites.

I’ll be sure to post pictures once I do use them. I’m sure some of the first pictures will feature the juices I’ve created with my Nama J2 Juicer. As mentioned, juicing is not new to me, and this is my third juicer. I love this cold-processed juicer.

Nutrition: Online course, new domain, and a new hosting provider

A few weeks ago, I started taking another course focusing on natural healing; those who know me know I always reach for natural remedies first if I have any health-related issues. The class meets each Sunday morning for two hours. I was able to attend the first class. I enjoy the course; three medical doctors who also incorporate holistic remedies within their practice are in attendance. I’m enjoying the class. Since I had another obligation last week, I was unable to attend. No worries since the streamed class is available to the students the next day.

Currently, I’m catching up on videos that I missed and should finish what I missed soon. I’m listening to one of the doctors talk about autoimmune diseases; she’s talking about skin afflictions and the rampant disconnect in Westernized cultures by mainly using drugs to treat ailments instead of heavily emphasizing that a person’s lifestyle might be a factor and if so, educating and encouraging lifestyle changes so the patient receives relief from the affliction without being dependent on pharmaceutical drugs. I look forward to my class this morning and interacting with the teachers and students.

New Domain/New Hosting Provider

In the past few months, I’ve started creating videos, with my lovely daughter’s help, to showcase our garden, baking, and herbal preparations. Instead of having that website fall under the hosting provider that houses I’m Celebrating Life, I did some research and have finally moved the domain purchased to its new home.

Creating a YouTube channel has been on my ToDo list for several years; however, it was a long-term goal that I knew I would be unable pursue until years later, and here I am, slowly creating videos. I’ll be sure to share that website here at some point.

It’s here! Nama J2 Cold Press Juicer

Cold-pressed juice made with the Nama J2 Juicer

Yesterday, my Nama J2 Cold Press Juicer arrived. I have used the Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800JEXL Juicer for most of my fruits/produce for several years. Although for my dark, leafy greens, I still love my Tribest Greenstar GS-P502-B Pro Jumbo Slow Masticating Juicer. You have to love the twin gear technology, and it’s the best choice for juicing greens; it just takes a long time to produce juice.

What impressed me about the Nama J2 Cold Press Juicer is its convenience. It has a large hopper, and you can load up the container, soft produce on the bottom and hardest on top, and walk away. That, right there, is a game-changer. I must be present with my other juicers since you must feed each piece through a chute.

The Nama J2 Juicer is quiet!

Nama J2 Juicer

While I was juicing today and yesterday, I noticed a difference in noise compared to my Breville. I also observed this on numerous YouTube videos, so I knew the Nama J2 juicer was not loud. I’ve researched and observed this juicer for several months, so I knew what to expect with this purchase. The warranty on the Nama J2 juicer is 15 years. Now that is impressive!

My other juicers are still doing a great job; I genuinely hope I have several years of enjoyment with my Nama J2.
