I love this mans energy!
My father, who’s 75, reminds me of him. His outlook is similar in that he thinks that many people are lazy. My father does not look his age, and he’s stays active.
My father also says the same thing. “I see a lot of young guys older than me!” And he’s telling the truth, he can still run circles around young guys half his age, but he stays active. In many ways, I am a lot like my father. Yes, I can run circles around people half my age, physically they simply aren’t in shape. Maintaining your physical health has a great impact on your emotional health also. I see many people my age in their down time “vegging out” aka watching television or something else that does not require too much movement. I hate doing nothing. I got to keep my mind and body active.
I still check in with Storm and Jinjee every once and a while. Storm has a fitness blog. A friend of ours is in this mid-70s and he looks like he’s MAYBE 50. My husband’s gram line danced up to this last year and she just turned 86. Truly amazing what activity does, ya know!?

@Jennifer, I know, people think my father is in his fifties. He does make healthy choices, even more with me around and he is very physically active.

@suituapui, I do too… 🙂 There is an older man at my gym, people did not pay too much attention to him since he was overweight. You should have seen the young men pause when they saw all the weight he could lift. He could lift more than anyone in the weight room. He had the entire bar filled with 45 pound weights. He was lifting several hundred pounds! Impressive, appearances can be deceiving.
