I’ve been in my new position (at work) for the second week, and I must say that I’m enjoying it immensely. I’ve been with the company for one year and 10 months, and this is my second promotion. There’s much to learn, as is typically the case when doing something new and I’m fine with that. I’m reminding myself that I won’t know everything. There are new policies/procedures to add to my skill set, and it goes a lot faster since I’ve never had problems asking questions. It’s just my nature; I like to know how everything works when it comes to anything I do, even if it’s not “relevant” to what I do.
Although I work in an office setting, I’ve been back at work since June. No complaints about that. I must say, that I’m seeing more commuters going back to work. How do I know? Highway 695 is starting to be the royal pain in the rear in the early commute/leaving office. It’s not back to its mind-numbing traffic. There’s always a bright side. I have a beautiful daughter/loving family, employed, my health is great, and I’m enjoying life immensely.
Congratulations on the promotion. It sounds like you must be a good fit for your job.
With this pandemic, we are both glad that neither of us has to work. I was almost at full social security age, 66, when I stopped doing the contract work. It’s good not having to deal with traveling to and from work as well as interacting with other individuals on a daily basis.
Take care

My apologies for the delayed response. Thanks! I hope you and your loved ones are doing well.
Regarding COVID, it’s definitely been challenging. Staff was reduced at work, which has made it challenging for those of us within the office. I believe about 20% of our staff are still working at home. I believe they’ll be home for quite some time. I do think more companies will be giving their employees the option of working from home if that’s possible. While I’m able to do that with some of my work, there are other parts, where that’s simply not an option since it requires me to at times look at the actual contract and in other cases notarize documents.
Congratulations, Opal. Yes, we must always count our blessings and give thanks!
Indeed. In everything, give thanks, I Thessalonians 5:18. Challenging at times. 🙂
