Juicing adventures: First day of juicing

Today is the first day of drinking mainly freshly prepared juices.

About an hour ago, I juiced all these fruits and vegetables that you see above, in my Green Star juicer. As with any juice cleanse or water fast I embark upon, I go into it with the right attitude. So you won’t hear me saying that I can’t achieve ______. I can’t is not in my vocabulary. As a child, my parents corrected me the few times I said, “I can’t do ____” and so I learned to turn an “I can’t” into an “I can!” If you think about it, that’s having a self defeatist attitude  and frankly quite lazy… and I am neither!  If you say you can’t do something, well you’re well on your way to accomplishing that, change your attitude.

Although a bit tired today, which has everything to do with Gracie (our lionhead rabbit) wanting to play well after bed time, I felt a nice jolt of energy about ten minutes after consuming the juice blend and that felt great.

What’s in this juice?

  • Carrots
  • Kale
  • Green apple
  • Celery
  • Garlic


I’d planned on adding ginger and lemon, but decided to hold off for another juice blend.

A friend of mine’s into juicing too. Will need a whole lot of will power, staying away from everything else, nothing but juice. I think she got tempted once in a while along the way.

I have to start juicing again! It’s been a while. Since I don’t eat apples right off the core like I used to juicing is the best way for me, I think 🙂 I still cut them up in slices which is fine but I think the easier way for me is juicing – I just have to DO IT 🙂
