After I cut the grass this morning, I returned to the garden and gathered some produce.
I picked heirloom tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, beans, peaches, and squash yesterday morning. I could not get it all since I did not have a large enough basket. That is fine; I’ll return to harvest what’s left today.
Last evening, I made a simple dish of squash, white potatoes, tomatoes, garbanzo beans, and yellow onion. No name for it, really; perhaps I’ll refer to it as a ‘Vegetable Medley’? The squash and tomatoes came from our garden. And the garbanzo beans were canned in February. Although simple, it was a delicious and filling meal.
Gosh!!! Lucky you!!! What a beautiful harvest! Love the colours!
Yes, the heirloom tomatoes aren’t a solid red they have streaks. They’re quite lovely and taste even better.
