I’m sure some folks would think I’m crazy for spending so much anything related to enemas, but I’ve always followed a different path than most when it comes to my health.
Although I’d been thinking about purchasing a stainless steel enema bucket for months, I held off and kept using my 4qt. enema bag. However, when I thought about it, I realized purchasing something like that will last me a lifetime.
Last week, I purchased the 4qt.stainless steel enema bucket from Optimal Health. I must say that I’m pleased with the purchase.
Why do I prefer my stainless steel enema bucket
- It’s not made out of rubber like the 4 qt. open ended enema bag
- I can see inside as I fill with whatever solution I’ve planned to use for the day
- It’s easier to clean
- I’m not worried about the rubber leaching into my enema solution
Although I consider myself to be “healthy” I am convinced of the wonderful benefits of cleansing your colon with enemas so yes I do use them.
I like how you added why you prefer this product VS what you were using! Interesting and educational – from (me) who doesn’t know a lot about it! Thanks!

Thanks @Jennifer, I thought it would be a great idea to add in case someone is looking for the differences between steel and silicone or rubber.

Sure is expensive, especially after conversion to our currency but always good to spend a bit more for something a lot better.

@suituapui, I agree, which is why I finally decided to make the purchase. I’d been looking at this for over a year.

Thanks for telling about stainless vs the rubber enema bag.
I use the red rubber two quart bag in my home. But,
would like to get the four quart blue enema bag. With metal hook instead of a plastic hook.
where can I buy a four quart one like the one you use?
later on I will buy a stainless kit…when I can afford it.
a while back I saw a friend’s fours quart bag airing out in the bathroom.
I was concerned about carrying a full four quart enema bag to the bed room. I give and gets enemas on the bed. Pull linen off the bed and put towel on the bed. Never had a mess. Prepare the solution and fill the bag in the kitchen sink.
She told me she could carry it when filled full. Filled it up full and had me hold it.
I didn’t buy one…yet. She has moved. So don’t know where she got it from. It is red and also had the metal hook to hang the bag.
bless all
pray for all
Hello, you can purchase the enema buckets on Amazon. I bought mine at Optimal Health over eight years ago. I still use that. It’s an excellent-quality enema bucket. Back then, I could not find any on Amazon; however, now you can find a variety of 2qt steel enema buckets. I purchased my second steel bucket in 2015, and that one I did buy on Amazon. Unfortunately, the store I purchased it from no longer sells them. That one (2 qt.) is great, too; I’ve used it occasionally when traveling. I mainly use the one I purchased from Optimal Health since it holds more fluid. However, for the 2qt, when I wanted to add more liquid, I just clamped once the fluid was gone and would add more juice to the enema bucket.
There are a variety of ways to clean your equipment. I boil mine. I have a stainless steel stock pot that I use exclusively for cleaning my bucket. I place the enema bucket and tubing inside the stock pot, cover it with water, and put it on the stove until near boil. I have found that the silicone tubing is not affected; however, it might be if the connectors are plastic. I have not had any issues with the tubing I use now; however, I have had problems. I replace the tubing every few months.
