My goodness, time is flying by so quickly. Work is going amazingly well, and I received a promotion/move at my company. I started my new position role the second week in January. I am still 100% remote, and I’m now three weeks out of training. My new boss seems nice, and my teammates seem friendly, too. A positive work environment goes a long way toward enhancing or causing issues with your overall health/well-being.
I’ve finally broken down and purchased an E-ink device. It should arrive later today. I decided upon the Remarkable Paper Pro. It’s been on my list for several years, and I finally purchased it this morning. I have an iPad and tried to use it as an e-writer; however, I wasn’t thrilled and went back to using my iPad of occasional reading and watching researching topics that interest me. I write on paper daily; however, I was a bit tired of going through paper and sifting through said paper; I typically just printer sheets. I know I should do better, but that’s usually what’s on hand for my free-thinking, and so that is what I use. I have a planner where I write in the morning; however, I always reach late evening for printer sheets during the day. Based on the reviews, I SHOULD like the Remarkable Paper Pro. It mimics paper, and the pencil on the screen sounds like a pencil, which I’ve always found soothing.
To say I’m excited about the device is an understatement. The only thing I’m not thrilled about is that the notes aren’t searchable; however, I have 100 days to try it out to see if I genuinely like the device. If not, I can return it. I have seen a few additional complaints about the device’s limitations when using it for functions. Paper Pro is in the product title; I am not purchasing it for anything but that. However, I would be thrilled if they added the ability to search my handwritten notes in a later update.
