Furbaby adventures: Peekaboo Angel

This past Saturday, my daughter gave Angel the guinea pig a bath.

Angel doesn’t get too many baths since she does a wonderful job grooming herself, but now and again even that isn’t enough. In the above photo you see her nestled in one of her favorite snuggly flannel blankets shortly after my daughter gave her a bath. Angel has lived a while. My daughter has had her since she was in the first grade; she’s now in the sixth grade.

Sewing: Don’t forget to protect your purchases…

Canopy 3 year Protection PlanWhile some have qualms about purchasing sewing machines online, I’ve never been one of those people. I normally can find the product much cheaper than what I could have purchased it in person.

However, I always make sure that I purchase additional protection. With my recent purchase of the Brother 2340CV, I purchased the extended warranty that I normally purchase; Canopy 3 year Protection. Since this is a sewing machine it falls under “Housewares” warranty. Thus far, I have not had to get any of the Brother sewing machines that I purchased online serviced.
Here’s hoping that my Brother sewing machines continues to work without me ever having to use their warranty. I much prefer the saying, “Better to have and not need, than to need and not have.

Two Wolves…

Two Wolves

The evil wolf is always hungry. It’s constantly consuming anger, resentment, jealousy, self-pity, envy, attacking others and it’s never satiated. It stays hungry because those “foods” can’t nourish anyone.

The good wolf isn’t hungry since it’s nourished by the “foods” it consumes a healthy diet of kindness, compassion, love and humility.

Which wolf are you feeding?
