While some have qualms about purchasing sewing machines online, I’ve never been one of those people. I normally can find the product much cheaper than what I could have purchased it in person.
However, I always make sure that I purchase additional protection. With my recent purchase of the Brother 2340CV, I purchased the extended warranty that I normally purchase; Canopy 3 year Protection. Since this is a sewing machine it falls under “Housewares” warranty. Thus far, I have not had to get any of the Brother sewing machines that I purchased online serviced.
Here’s hoping that my Brother sewing machines continues to work without me ever having to use their warranty. I much prefer the saying, “Better to have and not need, than to need and not have.
“Better to have and not need, than to need and not have.” I would agree 100% with you on this. Like buying insurance when booking air tickets online – they will give you a choice. Many would opt out just to save that bit of money. They’ll compensate for lost luggage, long delays and cancellations too. I would just buy even though I’ve been lucky all the time, no need to claim for anything.

@suituapui, I’ve been fortunate also, until recently when my Brevile juicer stopped working. I was sent a new juicer within a week. Now, that’s good service and well worth paying a little extra.

@Jennifer, I usually but a plan with most of my electronic devices. I’ve had to use it once with my MacBook Pro. Apple, went above and beyond what they had to cover. If I purchase an Apple product, I always chose their plan. You don’t have to purchase the product from Apple to take advantage of their amazing warranty. You only need to purchase from a business that is certified to sell their products.

@Opal,
Good to know! My husband is strict Apple now. I have an iPad and iPhone and we also use AppleTV. Hubby has a Apple computer as well

@Jennifer, The more you know, right? I only found out about that this past summer when I purchased my iPad. Before that, I’ve always purchased directly from Apple. However, Best Buy was offering the iPad I wanted at a much cheaper price, so I researched to see if I could still take advantage of the Apple warranty since that was the ONLY way I would have purchased that item from Best Buy.
