Mini Beet Protocol – Update

The past few weeks, I’ve been incorporating the mini beet protocol into my daily routine.  I first heard about this method from Robert von Sarbacher’s website.

If you read the article, you’ll see that there are a lot of claims made about the mini beet protocol. Since I juice daily, I thought I’d add beets to the mix. Well.. it’s been a few weeks and I will say that I’ve seen some improvements to my already healthy lifestyle.

But more about that in a later post. Check out the interview that Extreme Health Radio did with Robert Sorbacher.

My Workout/Office Bottles: Klean Kanteen

Kleen-Kanteen-Loop-Cap-Bottle-40-ozWhether I’m heading to work or going to the gym, you’ll always see with my faithful companion, my stainless steel Klean Kanteen. I’m not too fond of plastic, I can always taste the “plasticy” taste even in the ones that are supposedly BPA free.  There quite a few studies that seem to suggest that “BPA free” aren’t as safe as some might have though.

But back to my stainless steel bottles. The one I take to the office holds 40 ounces of liquid and the bottle that accompanies me to the gym holds 64 ounces.

Earlier this week, I ordered one more 40 oz  Klean Kanteen. Judging by UPS tracking, It arrived this morning.  This will be one of my little gifts for my father. His birthday is next week, but I’m giving it to him today. My dad will be 75, he’s still very muscular and physically active. Lord willing, I’ll be a lot like him at that age. He can use it when he goes to the gym.

I also ordered two stainless steel bottle caps to replace a few of the stainless steel/plastic caps I own.

Over the years, I’ve given a few away of the Klean Kanteen bottles. I must say that they were much appreciated by their recipients. These are well constructed stainless steel bottles. Besides a few dings that my workout bottle receives from being banged around, they are doing well and will continue to serve me well for several more years.

The choice is yours…

Throughout life, you’ll encounter people who tell you that you can’t accomplish ______. Since I’m stubborn, I’ve never listened and have followed my own path. Many times, I proved those naysayers wrong.

Your mind is powerful. You can have it working for or against you. The choice is yours…

Never underestimate what you can accomplish when you believe in yourself.

Simple foods: Nutritious and delicious…

beetroot isolated on white backgroundI’m not one to make elaborate meals, especially during the warmer months. Also, I’ve found that I much prefer the natural tastes of the variety of produce that I choose to eat.

Earlier today, I made a simple meal of lentils, mushrooms, roma tomatoes, onion and garlic. To that I added some freshly ground herbs and spices. Simple but delicious. I took a picture, so will be sure to include a photo (along with the exact measurements) sometime this week.

I’m still juicing, I (usually)drink freshly prepared “produce juice” every day. Today, I made juice using beetroot, cilantro, habanero pepper, and cucumber. In hindsight, I should have added carrots or apples. This is the first time I juiced beet root without one of those two items and I received a nasty headache. More on why it’s important to combine beet root (which is a powerful liver cleanser/blood cleanser) with something like apples or carrots in another post.

Hanging in the sauna

My gym workouts are always intense, I’ve found that the perfect end to an awesome workout is spending time in the sauna.

I normally stay about an hour in the sauna. Sometimes I do sauna rounds and other times I’ll just stay in the entire time. Of course, I make sure I stay hydrated.

Colonic Massage

It’s been a while since I written about the digestive system, one effective way I’ve found to keep things moving is to do colonic massage. Based on how effective it can be, it’s something I incorporate into my daily lifestyle.

I first wrote about this topic in 2009 and that was on one of my other websites. Once I let that site lapse, I republished the article here.
